ABOUT US
I am a sophomore in high school. I moved from Connecticut, my hometown, to Tennessee in the beginning of 9th grade. As an environmentalist, I was determined to encourage people here to start bringing their own reusable bags to grocery stores as I saw the impact that the change had on Connecticut when a plastic bag ban was instated a couple years ago. I first started realizing the severity of the situation when I was in 6th grade because of my science teacher who was very passionate about the climate crisis. This inspired me to start changing small everyday things in my life and encouraging my friends and family to do the same. I was in contact with a state representative to make restaurants not be allowed to hand out single-use utensils and condiments unless specifically requested.
Unfortunately, moving made it not possible for me to finish this project. Still, I hope to make a difference in Tennessee and inspire others in different places to do the same. I am also a singer and am very passionate about that as well. I like running and hanging out with friends/family in my free time as well.
